The Women's Weekly Workout (WWW) group welcomes women who are aerobically fit. You must be able to walk at a moderate pace for a half hour without stopping. Terrain can include: single track, fire road, occasional creek crossings and sometimes brushy areas if we go off trail and explore. Don't sign up if you've been a "no show" at any Meetup. Please, no guests. You must be signed up at Fun in the Sun Club Meetup, thereby agreeing to Meetup's Release of Liability. Please arrive on time. Typical Hikes: 6-11 miles with 700'-2,000' of elevation gain. We usually finish before 1:00PM, but can go later. Let us know if you need to be back by 1:00PM before the hike begins. Pace is typically 2.3 mph, which is a moderate pace. Bring: Snacks for an 11 mile/2,000' hike (even though we usually do less), the 10 essentials, including plenty of water (3 liters or more is recommended), first aid kit, trekking poles if you like them. They extend the life of your knees. Wear: Sunscreen, layers, hat, sunglasses, your best lug soles, long sleeves, pants for brush protection. Dogs: Sorry, no dogs for this one. Some areas don't allow them. Leave nothing of value in your vehicle at trailheads. See you on the trails!
