About

On Friday 5th July we will have an evening walk in the Dublin Mountains - with some of the loveliest views around Dublin. From the meeting point at Bus Stop 2825 beneath Dundrum Luas Stop, we will take the 44B bus to Johnny Fox's pub, known for being the highest pub in Ireland. We will then walk to Ballyedmondiff Wedge Tomb (also known as Giant's Grave), Two Rock, Fairy Castle and Three Rock before finishing up with a quick drink in the Blue Light pub. There is then a pleasant 15-20 mins walk to the bus stop where there are buses to Dublin City Centre. If the weather is good, we may stop for a short picnic along the way, so feel free to bring food and drink. Feel free to come on the walk even if you haven't been to a meet up before. This is a great way to meet new people and see new places. *** If you wish to wander off during a break then it's probably OK but please agree with the organisers a time you'll return so we're not waiting for you *** [Date] 5th July (FRIDAY) [Time] 17:15 ~ 22:00. The 44B bus is due to leave at 17:30 but please arrive in plenty of time in case it leaves a few minutes early. [Place] Bus Stop 2825 beneath Dundrum Luas Stop. If were you're coming from the city centre first cross over the tracks via the crossing. Then take the lift down to street level. The bus stop is on your left just before you get to the Ulster Bank on Main Street, Dundrum. [Host(s)] Tim [Organiser contact] Tim: 085 718 5658 *Please take good care of your own belongings, the meetup's organisers will not take any responsibility for any lost items before, during or after the meetup. Also please take care when crossing roads as though this walk is mainly in parks and on minor roads there will be a few busy roads to cross. Please wear suitable footwear as some of the paths may be uneven or steep. It is also recommended to bring water to avoid dehydration. Bring warm clothes and a waterproof jacket or umbrella in case of inclement weather. The Wild Travellers' Adventures Meetup Group supports the Leave No Trace Campaign
