Are you interested in connecting with new people? Then join us and like minded people for a walk along the Westerly Creek Trail. The Westerly Creek Trail is located in south Stapleton east of Central Park Blvd. StapletonWalks hosts a weekly 60 minute walk along the Westerly Creek Trail. The walk is free and everyone is invited. We really hope you will join us. It will be a great opportunity to get some exercise and connect with new people. The Westerly Creek Trail is very stroller and wheelchair friendly. This is an approximately 3.0 mile walk on wide, paved or gravel paths. Based on the wishes of the assembled walkers, we may take the Westerly Creek Trail to the Sand Creek Regional Green Way to the Bluff Lake Nature Center. We walk at a brisk but conversational pace, only stopping to cross the street when indicated. You can exit the walk at any time if needed. Just inform me that you will be leaving the group. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me at . Parking & Meeting Spot: We meet at the Central Park Recreation Center located east of Central Blvd. on Martin Luther Kind Blvd. and Clinton Street. There is plenty of free street parking. We’ll do a quick warm-up and complete Welcome Waivers, if needed (see below). We will start walking no later than 8:30 a.m. We should easily complete the walk by 9:30 a.m. Welcome Waiver: If you have not completed a Welcome Waiver this year for this walk, please fill out the online Welcome Waiver at or download, print, sign, and bring the waiver with you to the walk. You only need to complete one Welcome Waiver per year for this walk. Dogs: Only well behaved dogs on short leashes. Restrooms: There are restrooms at the Central Park Recreation Center. Dress: Wear comfortable walking shoes with non-cotton socks and dress appropriately for the weather. Try to dress in layers so as to be prepared for any anticipated/unanticipated changes in temperature. Of course, during the warm weather months, sunglasses, sun screen, and a sun hat are a given. Water: Please bring a bottle of water. Denver is a high plains desert (high altitude, low humidity) so staying hydrated is priority one. RSVP so I can notify you in the event the walk is cancelled. However, please note, we will walk unless the weather is threatening (e.g., severe weather conditions exist) or the sidewalks are icy. Edward W. Korabic Walk 2 Connect Walking Movement Leader Contact:
