The nature preserve features a large freshwater tidal basin teeming with wildlife. The trail has paved and dirt sections on flat terrain. There are two circuits, the shortest of which is 3 miles long. We have done this hike before, but not at this time of year. This is a great hike for newcomers, since it's a beautiful spot and suitable to all fitness levels. I would like to suggest that we bring something to eat or drink. We could go to one of the pavilions next to the parking lot and socialize. Well-behaved, leashed dogs are welcome. Make sure to bring water and clean-up bags for your pooch. The park has a large parking lot and is accessible by public transportation. We are looking for more members to organize hikes. Please message Jason, Mike or me if you're interested.
