Klanik is happy to invite you to our 1st meetup on Artificial Intelligence ! From 6pm, our employees will present you various Artificial Intelligence topics around the theme of sustainable development. After each intervention (about fifteen or twenty minutes) you will be able to ask questions. Then, you will enjoy some food and beverages while continuing to talk about AI We are waiting for you ! Subject 1 In the last few years, deep learning has been the mainstream for many researchers, start-ups. It became the core technology to develop many applications that affect every corner of our life. However, it also demand a huge computation power come from an enormous amount of hardware, which could cause negative effects on the environment. Moreover, deep learning is inspired by our human brain activities, but its basic neuron concept does not represent the biology neuron activity, which is spike based and energy effective. This fact give a motivation to develop a new generation of deep learning that is closer to human brain, which is called Spiking Neural Network. Subject 2 Materials scientists generate potentially novel materials by applying a physical transformation to mixtures of known materials. Individual materials are commonly characterized by a variety of spectrographic techniques, such as x-ray diffraction (XRD). In this talk, we describe some of the methods used to extract the characterization information from the XRDs, methods that are commonly used in other areas such as topic modeling. Subject 3 Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning can be applied to solve some of society’s biggest challenges. This short talk proposes to you to become actors of change by putting your skills of developers or of data scientists to the benefit of projects that seek to find solutions to these complex challenges. I will show you 3 ways in which you can contribute positively to our society while developing your data science skills.
