A walk with a proper lunch break - read on.... This will be a circular walk from Chirbury. We will head across the fields, via a small section of Offa's Dyke path, before ending up in Montgomery, at about 12.30. You will then be free to explore Montgomery Street Fair for an hour and a half. There's a lot going on - see https://www.facebook.com/MontgomeryTownStreetFair for more. I'm particularly looking forward to the Hog Roast, and there's supposed to entertainment for all the family, as well as crafting stalls etc etc! There's always the pub as well... I believe there's a suggested entry donation of £2... We will then reassemble fully sated for the second half of the walk, continuing back across fields and through a few sections of woodland and the Marrington Estate to Chirbury. The actual walk is 9 miles - predominantly level with just one short steep descent. Some great views. Meet outside Chirbury Village SHop - there should be enough road parking in the village - please park safely and considerately. Remember to bring some cash for Montgomery Street Fair, and for some lunch. The footpaths are a little overgrown after recent rain so good footwear and trousers recommended. Quite a lot if stiles.
