About

Wayne is leading a paddle for the Manatee County Natural Resources Department. 5 spots have been reserved just for SAG members! Sorry, you can't bring guests this time! What a great way to spend a May evening, on a sunset paddle with our kayak guide from WayneAdventures. An educational and fun trip including water quality testing, we will paddle out to the sandbars of the Manatee River to explore what lives in our waters. After watching the sunset, we will be escorted back by the full moon. Bring your camera for great shots of egrets, herons and roseate spoonbills. This is an easy paddle which can be enjoyed by beginning kayakers. As with all SAG paddles, wearing of a life jacket is mandatory. Bring a flashlight. This is an easy to moderate paddle depending on weather and wind. This 487-acre preserve has undergone an incredible transformation from disturbed farmland to coastal and wetland habitats. Robinson Preserve's Blueways Trails wind their way through the salt marshes and mangroves. A beautiful place to paddle with access to other Manatee County Blueways Trails including the Manatee River, Perico Bayou, and Palma Sola Bay.
