Join Lanakila Iki and learn the sport of Hawaian Outrigger Canoe. We will be meeting at Holland Park in Hollywood or if the weather allows- in Fort Lauderdale Beach. Fort Lauderdale Beach- look for the tent with the Lanakila Iki Canoe Club flag --right down from entrance to the parking lot. We have spare paddles and life vests. Bring water, hat, sunscreen and clothes that can be wet. We take 2-3 newbies per canoe for a short runs of 20-30 minutes, that way many paddlers can give it a try. While you wait your turn you will receive instructions and the rule of the canoe. We are usually there from 9am to 12:00pm. We have a fun bunch of paddlers ready to rock and roll and you will have lots of fun with Lanakila Iki Outrigger Canoe Club. Outrigger Canoe is an exciting water sport. We pride ourselves on being a family club and providing a family atmosphere. Why join Lanakila Iki? We are a local non-profit 501C 3 organization. Lanakila means "Victory" in Hawaiian. Iki means "Child of" - so we are the Child of Victory If you are here, then you are looking for something fun and exciting to do.
