I always felt intrigued by the sheltered waters of Mupe Bay and the unique archipelago of tiny islands on its southern end - and I think it's time to explore the place. Due to its location, the easiest way to get to the bay is to meet in West Lulworth and take a short walk (about 1 mile) along the Coast Path eastwards, until we reach Mupe Bay. The swim is going to be ca. 2km long and is going to take us between 40 and 60 minutes (depending on the group and weather conditions). We are going to start the swim from the north end of Mupe Bay, continue south along the beach, swim around Mupe Ledges (the rather flat peninsula on the south end of the bay) and, turning sharply to the west, navigate our way through the marvelous archipelago of tiny islands until we take a short break in the shallow waters of a nearby bay. We are then going to make our way back, finishing the swim in the same place where we started. Our agenda is going to look as follows: 14:00 - we meet in front of the Visitor's Centre in West Lulworth (right next to the main car park in West Lulworth) 14:05 - we walk down to the Lulworth Cove and, following the Coast Path, make our way towards Mupe Bay 14:40 - we get to Mupe Bay 15:00 - swim start 16:00 - swim finish I hope to see you all there and have a great swim together!
