Let's get the blood pumping by hiking a few trails in Apex Park. We will hike Apex, Sluicebox, Pick-N-Sledge, and Argos Trails. We should be able to see the Pink Moon rise as we are hiking. CONTACTS: Pat: (937) 231-9307 Bernard: (303) 229-2419 ATTENDEE LIMIT: 25 Hikers Sunset: 7:57 pm Park Curfew: 8:57 pm MEET: at 6:00, we will start at 6:05 pm. WHAT TO BRING: Appropriate gear (jacket, water, HEADLAMP, etc). There may be snow, slush, ice, and mud in areas. As Disco says during the first 10 seconds of this clip: "We're talking about dirt, mud, blood, and guts" DISTANCE/GAIN: 4.3 mi RT with 961 ft. total elevation gain (Level: moderate). We will hike Apex, Sluicebox, Pick-N-Sledge, and Argos Trails. DOGS: Well behaved dogs are welcome. Dogs must be leashed. Dog owners must clean up pet excrement, per Jefferson County Open Space Regulations ( MAP: DISCLAIMER: Hiking is risky.
