Hello All! This meetup is designed to awaken our relationship with our breath, or otherwise known as our life force. We will use traditional Hatha Yoga Breathing Techniques to reduce toxins, anxiety, activate our full lung capacity, stimulate our digestive system, and bring more overall health to our physical and mental body. You will be surprised how little attention you pay to your breath on a daily basis and this practice is intended to bring both awareness and improvement to your breathing patterns. We will breathe for about 30 minutes, with ample time to reflect and observe. We will then go into an awakening meditation and light asana practice to start out your day. Please come with an empty belly, as pranayama practice is best done this way. We will meet in the parking lot of Woodfin Riverside Park. Yoga mat or sitting cushion optional (you might like to have support though, especially if the grass is wet or cold). This event will take place outside so it is weather permitting. Do bring a light jacket or blanket as early mornings can be windy/chilly. This is a donation based energy exchange. No one turned away for lack of funds. (Suggested donation $10).
