Due to high demand me and Ken will figure out a way to get us all coming Come on out and join us for the classic early Spring hike in the dry desert county above the Columbia River... before it gets too hot. We will start with a fairly flat trek to the scenic Ancient Lakes with nearby waterfalls, and then hike up a steep mesa trail for some spectacular all around views. So bring your gloves and trekking poles for the sharp rock scree sections!. Best of all is the temperatures will be in the sixty's maybe 70s with absolutely NO RAIN at all. This is our washington desert....Less rain than many parts of Ariozona "From the Ancient Lakes trailhead, follow a mostly level trail pass Judith Pool and a lovely waterfall after one mile, before descending across the cataract wall above the lakes. The trail levels off again as it passes by several of the Ancient Lakes." Be aware that this is rattlesnake country. Discover Pass is required. Please be committed to attending with no last minute no shows or cancellations. Always plan on getting home later than expected.
