Ever wanted to run a 5K (3.1 miles) Fun Run? Maybe you want to get your cardio up so your metabolism gets humming, or you may want to get in shape for Summer. Running can do that for you. Noelle and Co-host will provide the direction and encouragement. Let's get together on Saturday mornings to train for an upcoming 5K (TBD). We will set individual goals to work on, and celebrate our progress toward those goals. It will be a great way to fellowship and get in shape for summer. No experience necessary, just desire. You may be new to running or unsure that you can even do it, but we will keep it fun, and you will do fine. It's really about fellowship and exercise. We won't be out to set any records or anything. This is voluntary program, and not affiliated with any church, so it's up to us to know our limits and be safe. We will start training slowly, with walking and running (1 minute intervals), and we will work up from there based on each person's fitness goals and ability. What's needed on our training runs • Running Shoes (Big 5 has sales all the time) • Water Bottle • Sun Screen • Hat or Visor • Comfortable running gear We will meet after our training for coffee, breakfast, and fellowship.
