** IMPORTANT** - Tuesday Meet-ups are for STRONG BB and better players only, PLEASE. In case you need more clarification on what level you are: “In the United States, levels are broken down into B, BB, A, AA, AAA, and Open. B is usually the lowest level offered at a tournament. This is actually the beginners’ level. For players having all the basic techniques together but lack athletic capabilities to seriously hit and block, BB level is the right one. Hitting and blocking are expected at A-level. If you have the entire skills set ready and you are athletic enough you will be able to play at AA level. AAA is the highest level in amateur beach volleyball tournaments. In Open tournaments, the best players compete against each other.” As a result, our Tuesday Meet-up consists of players with a solid knowledge of the game and beach volleyball specific rules. Skill levels typically range from advanced intermediate to experienced players. All players should understand the proper formations for the number of players on each side of the court (e.g. a “diamond” for 4 players), offensive concepts and defensive positions and can apply them in competition. Also, game and player strategies should be well understood (i.e., striving for a bump, set and spike on each volley), reading opponents plays during a volley and identifying opponent weaknesses. We know there are many advanced players who would like to get together for more serious 2's, 3’s or 4’s, depending on the turnout, so here it is. If you can offer lines and/or volleyball balls, please do. We hope this gives you an opportunity to meet others for better games. Thanks! :)
