The first of (hopefully many) weekday hikes! The end time is an estimate! It could be earlier or later depending on how fast we hike/whether or not we stop on the way back. As this is the first weekday hike I've organized, it's sort of a best guess. We'll meet at the park and ride in Vancouver and head north. The drive will take around 2.5-3 hours. We will be hiking on an established trail. The hike itself will be around 4.5 miles with 2000 feet of elevation gain. We will be hiking at a slower/moderate pace. After the hike, we can stop on the way back for food and drinks! Bring your 10 essentials! Be prepared for any weather (rain or shine). Pack a lunch to eat at the falls! Because we will be in a NP, no dogs allowed on this hike. However, I will have a baby in a carrier, so feel free to bring yours also. Drivers will need a parking pass. The America the Beautiful Pass ($80 for the year) will get you into the park. Otherwise, a year pass for just Rainier is $55 or a week pass can be purchased for $30. I have added a question about the park passes and will try to set up our carpools so that each has a pass if people already have them!
