About

We're doing it again! The SF Marathon will be in attendance to give away some cool prizes including a comped entry to their race in July through a free to enter raffle. That entry is the same monetary value of roughly 600 Jack in the Box tacos! Speaking of tacos, it's Taco Tuesday at The Trappist! Wear your East Bay Beer Runners shirt to save off your first beer. We will be meeting at the Trappist in Oakland and running a 5k or a ~5 miler (depending on your choice) then return for beers and tacos at the bar. The tacos are cash only. For the 5k, we will run 1.55 miles out to Lake Merritt and back. The 5 miler will take us around the lake and back. Although the meeting time is at 7pm, we typically don't start the actual run until 7:10pm Like all runs, we will do our best to prevent people from getting lost (verbal directions are often provided beforehand) and we are very flexible when it comes to pace and distance. All levels of running and drinking experience are welcome! 5k Route Details: http://www.mapmyrun.com/routes/view/1014279969 ~5 Miler Route Details http://www.mapmyrun.com/routes/view/1014284399 Trappist on Yelp: http://www.yelp.com/biz/the-trappist-Oakland (http://www.yelp.com/biz/the-trappist-oakland) The Trappist is near 12th Street BART or there is usually free street parking. There is also a secure parking lot next to the bar for $5. The bar is dog friendly.
