In Chinese Medicine the ability to prioritize is extremely important! Otherwise how will we know whether that grass pollen is just a speck of dust, or something to sneeze at? How will our digestive systems be able to absorb the right nutrients from the gut? And how would we know to brush off the rude comment from a stranger, but take to heart feedback from our friend? Our powers of discernment lay in the energies of the Small Intestine, and in this class we will be looking into this all-important organ system. As in past classes we will lay out the basic foundation of Chinese herbal medicine and then start tasting herbs right away. Along the way we will discuss key signs and symptoms of Small Intestine imbalance and notice how the herbs we taste affect us and our bodies. Though the class is scheduled to finish at 9pm we often go longer if people are interested. Dr. Kye Peven is a Chinese Medicine and Naturopathic Doctor.
