This Industry City Artists Open Studio walk is on a scenic route filled with interesting places. I will occasionally comment on the art, but you will have plenty of time to socialize with others. Cost: The cost of this event is $4 per person, which is paid at the start of the walk. This is for the organizer's Meetup preparation costs and fees. (Please read the "About Us Section" for more information regarding the $4 per person fee for each event.) If you are registered for this walk and can't attend, please change your RSVP online from "YES" to "NO". (PLEASE READ THE "ABOUT US SECTION" FOR THE GUIDELINES REGARDING THE NO SHOW POLICY.) THERE IS NO NEED TO POST WHY YOU CAN'T MAKE THE EVENT. No young children or service animals, pets allowed on this walk w/o the prior approval of the organizer. No smoking, please. As what usually happens on every event, many people from the waiting list will end up on the going list. If you have a personal matter or questions, please contact John, the Event Host, through his private Meetup account. Description: Industry City Studios is located at Industry City a complex of former warehouses on the Brooklyn waterfront. Industry City Open Studios Tour has about 100 participating studios, which will feature painters, photographers, sculptors, architects and woodworkers, as well as manufacturers of jewelry, clothing, and textile. Some purveyors of artisanal food and drink will also be open to the public. These studios are open to the public and don't charge admission. We'll stop in some studios and get a rare, intimate view of the artists' working environment. We also can talk to the artists about what they do. Article from The New York Times about Industry City.
