**Advanced hikers only** The trail to the cabin is very steep - 2700’ ascent in 3 miles. The trail is faint and overgrown in many areas, so long pants are advised. Gloves and/or poles are handy on the way down in case a rock rolls out under your foot. When I did the hike alone the round trip time was just over 4 hours for the six miles. We will pause for snacks at the cabin. The views are spectacular. There are no water sources on this hike, so make sure you bring enough water for 4+ hours. I'm not sure if all the snow has melted from this trail yet. I need to be back at the parking lot by 12:30 to go to work. Meet at the parking lot for the Kaysville East Mountain Park. It is right near the Davis County Animal Shelter.
